watched the semi finals for juara lagu 2005 yesterday for the category of irama malaysia/etnik kreatif with 12 contestants - toki and andy, waheeda, zehra, noraniza idris, rohana jalil, ning baizura, mawi, ruffedge, etc... and as usual, for this category, you can predict the four of them to be selected to the finals, hehe.. of course mawi was voted as the most popular songs by the viewers, no harm heh! noraniza, rohana, zehra and mawi will be in the finals. the songs? bole la.. i think noraniza idris' song may win, but quite impossible, with m nasir's song (sang by mawi) to be in the finals too, so kak ani had to struggle hard la.. go go chayok~!!
what amazed me was the performance by
adibah noor, really great man. first time listening to her song from her album Terlalu Istimewa. catchy irama malaysia song, her voice - tip top man, mmg best. i guess if she was in the competition the song could win man, a ali wrote it, and the lyric written by adibah herself. can't wait to get her album. thanks to
